I'm having some friends visit from Australia and with them will be two toddlers. As they are only here for 4 nights I don't want to waste time in the kitchen cooking! I am trying to think of some meals I can make for the kids and freeze in individual portions. I have us adults covered.

Any ideas?

Cottage pie freezes well. Might pay to ask what they will and won't eat though as some toddlers can be super fussy.

You can also freeze cake already cut - leave it uniced or do a simple water, cocoa and icing sugar icing. Pull out what you need in the morning and it will thaw by lunchtime.

Macaroni cheese? Fish pie?

When I make mashed poatoes I always do a bit more and freeze in little zip-lock bags a toddler-siez portion,..then I can just defrost in the freezer of microwave and heat when needed. I also do this with portions of spag bol, chop up a cooked sausage etc,..then I always have meals on hand! Just defrost a meat postion, poatoes and add some frozen vege and serve!

chicken nuggets, not really something to make but always find them a good stand by when you don't know what kids will eat.

you know they'll eat them, and chips so maybe have a bag of oven chips in the freezer

Meatballs, then you just have to cook up some spaghetti to go with them, really easy. You can put veges in the sauce for the meatballs.

Fish pie is a good one too.
