I just went for my 20 week scan yesterday and found out we are having another girl but I also found out that my baby might more than likely have ovarian cysts which the nurse seemed to think wasn't anything to worry about and they will probably do another scan at another date. But I still can't help feeling a bit anxious. Is this a normal thing to happen in a pregnancy? I have never had them myself but my mother tells me they can be quite painful. Has anyone else ever been through this with their baby and what exactly is done about it?  I just hope this isn't going to be something that could cause her any pain

Sorry don't have any experience with this. Do you know how big they are? Cos I have PCOS with a few big cysts yet the ones that are say 5mm rarely show up so I'm amazed they can see ones on a baby.

Anyway, hopefully it might be a hormonal thing that will die down? I know mums can get cysts enlarged while they're pg and they can often shrink after bubs is born so it may be the same for baby's ones?

Yah sorry dont have a clue...never knew babies can have them while in tummy either. But then like Emz said it could be Hormonal...I had a cyst on my overy when I got pregnant with this one and it is gone now, it could be the same with baby...here is hoping all is well at your next scan.

Try not to worry your slef until you know for sure what it is. I know its hard but Just be positive!!

Big Hugs
