Hi, I have just suffered my second mc in 5 months, I got to about 7 weeks with the first and 6 weeks this time round. I have just about finished bleeding but am still getting a few twinges every now and then. Surprisingly I feel ok, not great but ok, better than last time. Keep telling myself that it could be worse. I have not needed D & C with either so thats one positive?! I can take.
I am keen to get trying again but was wondering if anyone had heard of people not being able to hold a certain sex baby? a few people have mentioned it to me and was wondering if anybody else had had better success by changing their baby making times when trying? like holding off till ovulation day for a boy or vis-versa? keen to know if anyone has found anything that works!

Hi Dotty

If you can afford it I would suggest going to a specialist to test for underlying conditions that could cause miscarriage e.g. autoimmune or blood clotting disorders.

I'd suggest the same. Best to find out what is causing it than to risk putting yourself through more heartache

Hi, have been under a specialist for 8 months now, they are running tests now I have had 2 mc's. I live a pretty healthy life and been taking folic acid for a while. Maybe its just not my time yet, so chin up and carry on!

oh dotty, so sad to hear about your losses. it is the hardest thing to get through sometimes

sounds like you are getting the med support you need, often they wait until 3 consecutive MCs before investigating, but that is so harsh. I know it is because MC is just so sadly common, but 2 is more than enough to start getting some answers.

I have had 2 recent MC and my GP has got me on low-dose aspirin - sound like that has done the trick for a few people.

Let us know how your tests go.

Hi, Thanks, I have heard of that, may have to give it a try. Had endo so it could all be linked. Thankyou!
