um, it sounds a little like the pain i had when I ended up in hosp at 31 wks with preeclampsia. for me it started in the front then shot around the back except the pain in was more concentrated on my right side and was because the preeclampsia was affecting my liver. i think you should prob get your bp checked, just in case. it might be nothing but best to eliminate the possiblity of preeclampsia.

was that why your baby was born early TrudandEm? I see by your ticker it was only a few days later.

yeah that's right Nefertiti. while in hospital my bp and protein levels were through the roof and only got worse. liver enzymes in my bloods were bad too. despite all that I felt fine and was frustrated to be stuck in the hospital. The Drs insisted one day I would wake up feeling like crap. Didn't believe them. Then before I knew it Emily had to be delivered early because the preeclampsia got even worse - got the throbbing headache and I was swollen up all over the show. Still had to stay in hospital another week after that because even though bubs had been delivered and was out of danger, there was still a chance it could turn into eclampsia and go into my brain - I could've gone into fits - it can still affect you for a while after the birth. So mrshouse I think you should def get it checked out because it's not a very nice thing to have. I hope you don't have preeclampsia - let us know that you do get checked out and how you get on.

Oh MrsHouse - Yah better get it checked out! Dont wanna risk it huh?

I am sooo glad that my Doc/MW is not taking any chances with me and my High BP. I am at hogh risk clinic and closely monitored! I had a doppler scan to make sure blood is flowing to baby ok....it is but not 100% and they knew that and for now happy with how things are...but having another rowth scan in 4 weeks. I pray that baby is ok every day. My BP is 140/86 now so still a bit highish.

I am getting the sugar test done too... man I feel like lab Rat but atleast the baby is safe.

Good luck Hun! let us know what they find!

my pain disappeared the day after I was admitted to hospital, probably because of the bp meds they put me on. dont like the sound of those dizzy spells though. still think you should contact your mw sooner rather than later. don't worry about running to your mw for every little thing.....that's what they're there for.
