Hi ladies, I have a pasta bake that calls for 2 x tubs 300ml cooking cream. It's from a NZ magazine, so I guess I should be able to find it. What is this?

I believe it must be high in fat content as that stops the cream from seperating.

Anyone know?

I would guess sour cream or cream cheese, but then I have never heard of them referred to as "cooking cream"..

I'd say sour cream. You can cook with just ordinary cream but having "tubs" there makes you think of other types. Do they have a phone number on their packaging?

In england they have whipping cream / double cream.
Its the same as our normal cream we only have one kind.

Is the cream for the sauce? Then I'd say its normal cream, and as it comes in 300ml bottles could be two of them.
