I am wanting to order an album today for DH's 30th birthday - I went somewhere and got all his baby photos scanned - only problem is they are quite fadded so a lot of the photos look yellow/orangy.
Is there anyway to fix this? Please say yes!
TIA

Photoshop seems to be able to do almost anything. Have You tried looking up tutorials on youtube?
Or maybe you could just turn them into black and white or sepia tones and make it look like they are meant to be old looking.
Sorry If I wasnt too much help

YOu can turn certain colours down, if that makes sense. I'll have to ask DH when he comes home if someone hasn't answered by then

Try downloading the free programme Picasa by Google.. it may help... there are quite a few free photo editing programmes around..
All you need to play with is colour contrast etc and most have slider bars for that kind of adjustment :)

Hi Boo Boo, sounds like you have too much yellow and red in your pics and not enough cyan and black, which can make your pics look too warm.
Heres a 'quickie' fix it - open photo - got to the IMAGE drop down menu, go to MODE, if your Mode has a ticked box next to RGB change it to CMYK. If its already CMYK then sweet,
Then go to the IMAGE drop down menu again go ADJUSTMENTS, then go to hue/saturation. Slide the HUE slider to the left or right, this may improve your shots.
There are alot of other ways to fix it - but they woudl take a bit of explaining, i think the above option may be the fastest. Normally you'd use 'curves' to fix photos, so you could try googling "Curve adjustments in photoshop", that should come up with a tutorial or two
Good luck - hope that helps

If you dont have photoshop, I can have a go at them for you on mine. I used to photoshop all the time
Also DF's mum is a photographer and will be able to give me some tips for fixing them.
Another thing you can do is make them black and white or sepia if they are REALLY bad.
PM me if you want
