Is this normal?

I have some 6-12mo grey PP boys cords (will get code later) and over the last week all the cord has worn away from Jack crawling. Now I expect some wear and tear but these look so tacky now and not the quality I would expect of $30. I bought them because I thought being adjustable etc they would last ages but now they're pretty much useless except for around home.

There was no wear a couple of weeks ago, and especially on the knees they have worn through visibly in only 2 days of Jack wearing them and he doesn't really even crawl on all fours just commando. I'm really upset about it cos we can't afford to keep replacing clothes like that Am I being a bit too precious or is that just poor quality? He's only been wearing them for 2 months, maybe 1-2 days a week if that.

I have the same prob with Mac's cords (not PP). I thin the camando thing is actually harder on the pants then proper crawling. He also has a pair of PP jeans that he wears twice a week and in the last month the knee bits ahve faded/worn quite badly. Not sure that its avoidable.

The mean/tight mummy that I am, I now take his pants off him when we are at home and just et him crawl round with bare legs.

lol my DH has the solution to this, don't do them up and then when DD does her comando crawl they come off! very cute.

No good about PP cords though! normally the quality is better there!

I think it might just be a cord and crawling thing

I don't think so. I've got a pair of cords from PP that were handed down so two babies have crawled in them and they still look as good as new.

Quite a few of his clothes that he learned to crawl in have worn at the knees, but not the cords.

Hmmmm, none of Ella's clothes showed any wear from crawing, but maybe that's more a sign that she had waaaayyyy too many clothes than anything else? I do know that cord is one fabric that shows wear like that really quickly though. it's a PITA. You could try taking them back and see what they say still.

If you have still got the receipt you can take them into PP and see what they say. One of son's dome fell off and they fixed it and a few weeks later it came off again so they gave my money back
