I thought I would but I didn't. It was so sad and the best thing about these shows is that what they base their stories on has actually happened so you can feel the parents pain.

Same! DH thought I was mad, until I told him the storyline.
I was feeding my baby at the time and couldnt comprehend that happening to us!

Uhoh - I've got it on video and was planning on watching it today. Guess it's not going to light brainless fluff from what you're all saying

No tears here, but I was struggling to hold them back!
I find it strange that the babies are taken away from the mothers in the hospitals over there.
Hannah didn't leave my sight from the second she was born (except when DH was with her while I showered and went to the toilet).

OK, will have to watch it while I'm holding Daniel - I can cuddle him if I get upset.

It was certainly a lot less light brainless fluff than the first episode. I was a bit dissapointed last week.
I wasn't really watching it properly this week but
STOP READING IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN IT YET - SPOILER AHEAD
did they swap babies in the end? How old were the babies supposed to be?

Yes they did and I think they were about 9 months? Maybe not, but for some reason I have 9 months in my head. Definitely a bit better than the first week but still can't believe its the #1 show in America (well actually I can because its an airhead show, need I say more)

Yeah that's what it said on the ads just before the season started 'America's new #1 show' I was so excited and thought it would be like Grey's but its pretty light. Good for brainless entertainment on a Monday but not much more.
And is it just me or does Addison sound different? Like she's trying too hard or something? Maybe it's just because she wasn't a huge part of Grey's I didn't notice it but now its driving me nuts (yet I'll still watch it )

Wasnt properly watching it but the bits I saw it seem very sad - those poor parents. I think If I had been watching it I would have been bawling, I had already cried watching Cambel live with the lady giving birth in the car and 60 minutes, with a whole lot of people giving birth.... I guess I was just in one of those moods.
I like the show, its ok. I cant stop comparing it to Greys and I love Greys, its just not the same without the same people. I like the fact that there are lots of baby realted storylines.

OMG it was so sad. That happened recently. I remember reading about a dad who got a paternity test done on his toddler, as he didn't think she looked like him. They ended up having to swap their children, even though the mums didn't want too.

they were in russia or something like that - they visited them like a year later and the mothers are still having a hard time bonding with their bio child.
As for the show I watched it and I cried. You just think what if someone told me after all this time Rhylz wasn't bio mine and I had to swap my Rhylz for some child I didn't know. I couldn't.

well i must be an airhead then cause I love the show. It is hard not to compare it to greys but it is a show of its own and ive always liked addison.
As for last night there were a few tears here and when DH looked at me i said "its the preggy hormones honest" lol i think it may have slightly affected him too (not that he would own up to it...)

After all that build up - I really didn't get into it. I enjoy the show but for me it's light relief. That said, if I was having a different kind of day then I probably would have empathised more (and maybe personalised it more) than I did.
I like it more than Grey's. I'm so sick of Greys - Meredith drives me NUTS.

I like Greys more, but I agree I'm soooo over Meredith.
Addison isn't half as cool as she was in Greys somehow - the way she interacts with that guy she kissed is just stupid.
There is no way I could give up my bubba now if someone said she wasn't mine. Even if she was sick and would die. No question, no way.

Sorry Phat_Cat I definitely didn't mean that people who watched the show were airheads Just that the plot and characters are very 'light' to say the least. Won't stop me watching it though just yet (I like to give these things at least one season), I just like to complain

I was sobbing when the mothers were telling each other how to settle the babies, just heart breaking
I never watched Greys and didn't hear any of the hype for this show (yes I live on Mars with no tv LOL) and I'm really enjoying the show. It's informative as well as light entertainment. I like the relationships between the MW and the guy who does the holistic medicine with the world class neonatal specialist lol
