Yes so worth going to, I have been to the Welly one for 4 years now (this is the first year I won't be going to it), for the $10 you get a heap of free stuff. If you renew your treasures subscription there or join up then you get a free goody bag worth over $10 last times I have gotten it. Heaps of nappy samples, food and you could get the formula ones for 6months and above.

And OH baby is goin got be there as well.

I would like to but I see it as a waste of money with petrol costing what it does, I won't get enough out of it to make it worthwhile

We were going to go too, but still undecided! Have been before, and it was good while Ashlee was really little. I don't remember seeing anything of benefit for toddlers.

I am the same as you Kirsten, I don't remember seeing much for toddlers but i was pregnant the last time and never dreamt I would have a toddler so maybe just zoned that bit out. Might go if it's a wet weekend but otherwise I might give it a miss as we are finding there is always a bit more week left at the end of the money these days

We're coming down for Father's Day on Sunday, and $10 plus free parking isn't too bad for a morning.
OHBaby is going to be there!

Its strange introducing yourself to people you've been having conversations with via the MB.

I know, I have already decided what I'm buying -- their Leisure Pants are SO COMFORTABLE. I love them so much I'm buying two more pairs, and I'm not even pregnant. I can't wait to see all their new stuff "in the flesh" -- their lingerie is absolutely gorgeous.

The lingerie is  sooo devine! I also love the preg wrap. I wore one of Juliettes womama t shirts to the OB mega meet up we had. Alas it is too small now but am aiming to fit it again lol.  Their stuff is gorgeous!!!

Vicki and I are here in Wellington -- we arrived this morning after being delayed on the runway for a good 45 minutes due to heavy fog rolling into Auckland. Wellington is blustery as usual, and I quickly layered on two sweaters once we got to our hotel!

The Westpac Stadium was a hub of activity today, with most of the exhibitors setting up their stands all at the same time. There were courier vans, cars, trucks, and forklifts zooming up and down the aisles where visitors to the Show will be walking tomorrow and Sunday. The OHbaby! stand is in a great location -- right across from our mates Huggies, and a little bit down from our other mates Womama! You can't miss us -- our colours are red, black, and white, and we're pretty striking. Just look for the giant magazine covers and you'll find us!

It took Vicki and me a good four hours to unload the four pallets of stuff we had shipped down here from Auckland (yes, FOUR PALLETS OF STUFF! We don't do anything by halves!) and get it all organised, set up, and displayed. We have an EFTPOS/credit card facility for subscriptions purchases, so don't worry if you don't have cash -- we can handle your plastic!

We're heading out for dessert with the Womama ladies in a little while, then I suspect we'll turn in early, as it's a very early start tomorrow. My shoulders are already sore from unloading boxes, so I suspect I'll sleep well tonight. The doors open at 10am and we can't wait to see you there.

NikkiB, I just got back to the hotel from the Show and was thinking, "I need to sign on and give a shout out to the people I got to meet today!" You must have read my mind. It was lovely meeting you as well, and great to put a face to a forum handle! Hee hee... I hope you'll come onto the message boards a bit more often now that you "know" us.

It was also fantastic seeing Kels and Leish, who I must congratulate for subscribing to the mag and taking advantage of the show special... Although I have met the two of you before, it was lovely to see some familiar faces in the crowd, and I wish we'd had more of a chance to catch up. It was a pretty full-on day for all of us.

For anyone who hasn't yet come to the P&C Show, it's true -- we have an amazing subscription deal. If you subscribe to the magazine, you get a free In The Night Garden soft toy worth $16.99, plus a $25 e-voucher for Evolu beauty products, and some more great goodies -- all this for just a $28 subscription. If you can't get to the Show yourself, encourage your friends to get one for you when they're there, and come along to meet us and score some other freebies! It's definitely worth the visit.

Looking forward to tomorrow -- I hope I have some more forum handles to put up here on the Wall of Fame! Don't hesitate to come up and introduce yourself. We're not shy, so don't you be either.

As for the heaters, the Show staff did bring in heaters during the day so by the time it was over, things were tolerable. I recommend bringing a warm coat, though, and mittens for your little one just in case...

Wellington P&C show was AWFUL. Apart from the OB stand and the Womama stand there wasnt anything of interest there at all and I thought it waws maybe b'cos I past the baby stage as Alize is nearly 2 but no Leish wasnt impressed either and she is 2 wks away from having her wee girl.

Katherine the stand looked fantastic, Alize hasnt put down the toy since I gave it to him lol. He even walked thru westfield looking so cute hugging the toy. I dont even know its name lol, we dont watch night garden in this house lol

Well done to the Ohbaby crew!!

The Auckland one will be better with more exhibitors. Didn't get $10 worth of free stuff this year. The only free things were last quarters issue of OHBaby (which I didn't have) and Huggies newborn nappy pack.

Will have to save that month to get up there. I have an exam on the 1st of November so may not make it up till Sunday.

I went yesterday, and it was FREEZING inside the stadium. Poor DH wasn't wearing enough layers.

For the $10 entry fee, I didn't think there were enough stalls in there, and also disappointed by the lack of free stuff. But in saying that, DH and I managed to get a good deal on a couple of things, such as a Brio Zento car seat.

I think it would have been better to hold it in November, when it is warm in Wellington.

Vicki and I have just got back to our hotel from packing up the OHbaby! stand. It was a busy day -- maybe a little bit less busy than yesterday, but that was actually really good as it gave us more of a chance to chat to the people who stopped by. I met some fantastic forum members and some really cool new mums whom I hope will now feel encouraged to stop by and hang out with us here! All in all we thought it was a great opportunity to meet people, tell them about us, and tell them about this community.

If you missed us, we'll definitely be at the Auckland Parent & Child Show with more fantastic freebies and another cool subscription deal, so please stop by and say hello. Now I'm off to have a very late dinner in my pyjamas -- we fly back to Auckland tomorrow and it'll be good to head home to my family, but I'll be sad to leave Wellywood. The people are just so nice down here!

Yeah I was a bit disappointed this year. Kels and I enjoyed it so much last year and I don't know what it was this time but I didn't think as much of it. Maybe the fact I am so pregnant or something like that. There didn't seem to be as much or as good show specials. My Huggies bag didn't actually have the sample in it Oh well. It was great to see the OB ladies - you all looked lovely And the stand looked great. Hope you weren't too exhausted after it all.

Leish, we are absolutely knackered! But buzzing from all the excitement of the weekend. I'm really glad there's a month and a half left til the Auckland show as I need a bit of recovery time! We're back in Auckland today and back to work, as the Spring issue of OHbaby! Magazine goes to print in just under two weeks (woohoo!).
