....you have most of a 2litre bottle of milk to get through when it expires the next day.
I can't even think of any baking that requires lots of milk, I so don't want to waste it lol im too tight for that

how about making some mac and cheese, or chocolate cake or muffins, ummmm pototoe bake.
I would say if it only expires tomorrow you will be okay, but i refuse to drink milk after the expiry date myself. Piklets take a lot of milk, especially if you double the mixture...and as i like my batter to be thin but not runny, i use a bit of milk, and they freeze well ------------- http://lilypie.com">

I will not drink it if it expires that day in fact I won't drink it now (like on cereal) but I thought baking and cooking would be good, im already making grilled chicken Pita Pockets and salad for dinner so will do custard for dessert I guess.

What about making some desserts for Neosha? I sometimes make sweet couscous for Liam which involves cooking 1 tablespoon of couscous, a little sugar & 250ml milk on the stovetop for about 10 mins. Or a rice pudding? which does seem to freeze well in small batches. -------------

What about freezing the milk itself - maybe into smaller portions (think ice-cube) and just use as needed for baking/cooking..

If you freeze milk, when it defrosts it often gets kind of lumpy and gross looking. It tastes ok, but it looks really grotty, especially with white lumps floating in your cup of tea. So if you do freeze milk, perhaps plan to use it for baking or something when you defrost it.
In saying that, as long as it looks ok, I drink milk till several days post-expiry. The expiry date is a worst-case scenario. They can't allow milk to go off before the expiry date, and as a result its a conservative estimate. In most cases it will still be good for several days more. Im just a fussy milk person, im sure I imagine that it tastes bad
I made piklets and freezed them, did a choccie cake for DP's work smoko and freezed the rest for next weeks baking.
