I understand cards being out, cause the overseas mail closes really early. But decorations must be slow retail week.

The international mail doesn't close that early. I always send my cards out around the 15th Dec (cos i'm so slack) and they still get to the UK in plenty of time.
I refuse to think about xmas till after my birthday.

Oh yes, I saw candy canes at farmers last saturday - so exciting!
I Christmas
I am planning to send my nephews Christmas presents up to them next month and DH and I have been exchanging emails to figure out what to buy Michaela.
Oh and we've also been discussing where to put the Christmas tree this year and I wrote up the first draft of the Christmas menu and allocated dishes to family members. None of them seem to appreciate my organisational skills yet but they'll be thanking me come boxing day... they always do.

i used to work as a Christmas Goodies (wrap, card etc) and Calendar buyer and was always surprised at how many people buy next year calendars in July!!! and Christmas stuff in sept. Basically if you put it out in the shops, someone will always buy it......it's crazy through.

Oh my gosh. We don't even think about Xmas until after dd's birthday.....must be more organised this year. I really want to get the UK pressies off surface mail this year as postage is so rediculous now. Oh, and dd's birthday is late Nov so I really must be more organised....hehe.

Just saw an ad in the DomPost today saying that the Kirks Christmas shop open on 2 October and I was shocked - can't believe that other shops have already got xmas stuff out. Mental.

We have a Christmas Heirloom shop in Takapuna that's been open for a while now.
We bought the first of our pressies today. Christmas approaching means my baby is going to be 1 soon

we are buying the kids bean bags - not on laybuy yet, as 12 weeks means in november we have a stupidly huge thing to try and hide, but have Taine's bday present bought (in jan), and most of the kids mini-pressies done. just bought a car for the boys - you fill it up with water, pump it with some pump thing AND it rockets off - hmmm, can see dad having fun with that!

I have Keziah's 1st birthday to deal with in a couple of weeks, and that's bad enough without having Christmas just around the corner too

hehe we have November, December (23rd and 27th) and January to contend with also, Kels.
Slightly off topic, does anyone know where to buy hair colour that is not your usual? I'm thinking along the lines of orange, green... rather than the customary blonde and chestnut colours.
