I have been having this problem with Keira, well its not really a problem, just really something that got me thinking.
She is forever getting her her's and she's muddles (or he's and his's). Saying things like:

"Look at she" or "What is her doing"

I was trying to think of a simple way of explaing the difference but it has me stumped.... Surey someone out there thats smarter than me can explain to me the difference....?
I know this makes me sound stupid but it has been buging me all day..
EARTHQUAKE! !

and Its still shaking.....ahhh

*edited to get rid of that jolly earthquake that appeared in the middle of the post

i wouldnt explain - just give her the correct way instead.
i do it with the boys all the time... they say "look at him" in relation to eden and i just say "look at her, yes thats funny..."

Ah, don't worry, it's a hard one to explain but she'll pick it up probably in the next 6-12 mos on her own anyway. It's harder here because we have very few 'hims' so any boy visitors are her's as well hehe

Lol, yeah we are mostly shes and hers here too
I'm really not worried about her, Its a tricky one and she does so well with everything else.
I think its just me that cant figure out why each is used at a certain time, surely there must be some rule?

Well I guess the 'rule' is roughly like this
If you are talking about someone (a female), you say "she": she said this, she is going out, etc
But her is kinda more on the side ("talk about her") or most often to do with belonging, ie her toy, her dinner.

"she" is used when the person in question is the subject of the sentence. "her" is used when the person in question is the object of the sentence.

good luck with explaining THAT!

I would just go with correcting her,.

Thankyou, that makes sense! Duh.
I definately will just be correcting her but at least now, I understand why I am correcting her.

I don't even know if I'd correct so much as just model.

If you make sure you are speaking correctly then she'll get the hang of it.

he he ha ha...cute!!

Z has a similar thing where every thing is a GIRL!! As in she will say "Good Girl Papa"...Hmmmm

I think its because We always use that on her and there are no other boys (apart from Dad). We usually have a good giggle and correct her!!

Yep!!  Gia says to me "good boy, mum".  It's so funny.  I think because her daddy & siblings are "boys" she puts me under that category.

I worked in a training centre with an Early Childhood & Education course so learnt a lot with helping the tutor prepare the classes.  Basically it comes down to when Keira says the above comments, you repeat her sentence with the correct grammar.  Pretty much what Bizzy said.  She will pick it up in time.  Rico still has problems with his grammer, but once I repeat his sentence back to him with the correct words he then repeats it back to me correctly.
