Just wondering if anyone who suffers from migraines can help..
Last night at about 6pm I felt a headache coming on but also felt a bit nauseous. I took some Nurofen which didn't seem to help and ended up going to bed to try and sleep it off. I got barely ANY sleep as I was tossing and turning all night (well actually rolling and rolling!) because my head was throbbing but it was like a sharp throbbing (if that makes sense?) that seemed to envelope my whole head! This carried on until about 5am when I got up to get some more water and take more nurofen yet when I lay back down it the pain seemed worse (so much so I was in tears). I ended up turning on my electric blanket and DF got a cold flannel for my face (weird combo I know) and after a while everything seemed to subside and I managed to get about an hours sleep.
Does this sound like a migraine? I get bad headaches every now & then usually when my neck/back is out but with them I can tell what the cause is but this was something totally different!
HELP!!!

Migranes are different from person to person. I personally feel like I want to tear my hair or eyeballs out to release the pressure!
If my meds don't work within about an hour I go to A&E and they give me a shot in the butt.
I don't think you should lie in pain all night. If it happens again go and get some help. Migranes are hellish!
Hope you are feeling better today!

I have not had a migraine for a while now, I used to go to the Dr and get a jab in the butt also
I would then race home and hide in a dark room under my duvet cover.
It is not nice to be in pain and would also suggest not to put up with it like that.
I now drink a lot of water as soon as I get a headache, seems to help keep it at bay.
Hope you are feeling better today!
