Are they supposed to be the same colour as the control line? Are they supposed to be faint? And which tests are the worst for evap lines??
Sorry for all the Qs...

After 10 minutes you should disregard the test but from what you said Kate the line showed up at about 5 mins.

Ummm, AF was due on Tuesday (the one just gone).
Stacey - I think you might be right - the tests are at home though, and I'm at work so was going off memory (and usually use Discover which is 10 mins, but picked up QuickCard today cos the pharmacy didn't have Discover).

Looks like a BFP to me. Quickcards are one of the best brands for not giving out evap lines or false positives.
Congratulations

I agree with cuppatea.
Quickcards are all I use (as my GP uses them) and I never got evap lines on them, and I'm a serial tester (was, I should say. WAS).
CONGRATS!!!

I'm not so positive....did 2 tests this morning and the first was BFN (very clearly BFN nearly 2 hours later - no hint of a line), second is still developing with a shadow of a line but on the face of it, a BFN. Yesterday's one was at lunchtime so no FMU....this mornings two were FMU and SMU. Still no AF though. Why oh why did I wait till the weekend when I can't get bloods done to know one way or another, and the only chemist that sells Discover doesn't open till 9am (I know, I just drove there!!!!)!!!!
ETA: I'm just confused, have a headache which is something I've been getting over the last week (I don't drink anywhere enough water), and feel seriously vomitous, no AF cramps....meh, why can't this be easy!!!! Yes you are or no you're not!!! I can't even blame it on stress cos I'm not stressing about anything!!!

Oh Minik8e - it looks like a big congratulations!! Hope you find out for sure one way or the other though! Did you use a different type of test this morning?
I think it definitely looks like a positive

Nope, same kind of test. I might go and get a Discover at some stage....no trouble with having to wait to test, I can pee constantly (how, I don't know, when I've had a coffee this morning and that's it!!)....but wait until lunchtime-ish....

I don't think that first one is even CLOSE to being an evap line.
Do another test for sure but I'd say you are preg.
Congrats!

Hmmm, please tell me you can change the size you order your wedding dress in hun, cos it does look awfully like you may need some more room!
Keep us updated, its past 9am now so you must be at that chemist!

Hehe nah that means I have to get out of bed again (and as I went to the loo 1/2 an hour ago, it's about time for me to go again ) but will definitely go some time soon....at the moment it will be far too diluted to get anything anyway I think!!!
Err.....even if I ordered a bigger size, the dress wouldn't accommodate a bump!! So might have to change to a Grecian style instead LOL

Hrmm, I just realised it was SMU and TMU I used for the tests this morning....cos I had to get up at 4am cos I was busting!!! Ahhh well. What happens happens I guess.

Ok I'm going to the doctor on Monday to see what's going on and get some bloods done if AF hasn't arrived. The Discover test has an extraordinarily faint line which I can just see (like a shadow - can see looking straight at it, don't have to hold it up to the light or anything) which I know definitely won't show in a photo!!! I am leaning towards yesterday's being either a false + or an evap line....but knowing me I'll test again in the morning anyway!! I have one Discover left.

Nope not yet, I think I will probably just go doc on Monday and get bloods and a definite answer.
Are those FR midstream ones from the supermarket?

So not an evap line! Lots of the ladies on here have said they got negatives then positives then negatives so it's not uncommon to have false negatives. It's very rare to have false positives though so congrats :) In some cultures women didn't get married unless they were noticeably pregnant, not even necessarily to the man they were marrying. It was the clearest sign that the woman was fertile

Hehee my faint line wasn't as faint as I thought - DF could see it straight away, I didn't even have to point it out to him!!! So for now, I guess maybe I am pregnant...still going to the doc on Monday to confirm though. MIL can't wait, she wants to tell all her golf buddies she's fiiiiiiinally going to be a grandma LOL

Quite often it's not so much peeing more, as peeing more often. You have a uterus now squishing up your bladder, after all! Ah, the joys

Kate false negatives can be reasonably common but false positives are almost never heard of (that's what the doc told my teenage sister when we went to the docs imploring her to tell us that the preg test sis tok earlier was wrong... the result of that test is a gorgeous 8yo).
Good on you for going to the md on Monday but IMO you're definitely pregnant and it's time to start looking at different wedding dresses (or moving the whole affair forward so you can fit your dress).

Jess - I finally went and got a FR midstream test and it's very very faint (you can only JUST see it), but it's definitely there and showed up within a couple of minutes. The one thing I have noticed from my current POAS addiction is that the morning tests are clear BFNs and the ones from later in the day - late morning onwards are the ones that are faint, but definite BFPs. The one on Friday was from lunchtime and was very clear....
