Can i wrap my baby too tight? She tends to escape from wraps so i do wrap her up quite tight, but im worried it could be too tight!

Sounds crazy but have you tried wrapping her backwards. Like instead of lying her on top of the wrap, lie the wrap on her and pull the ends around behind her. It was the best way we found to stop our boy houdiniing himself all the time because the wrap goes right up under their chin

If u are using fabric that hasnt got any 'give' in it, the I guess u could wrap baby so they arent comfy,.stretchy wraps are the best, big ones too!

I wrap mine really tight lol, it's almost like a competition to see if I can keep their arms in The older three were all in safety sleeps which helped to keep the wrap secure but lil miss is in a hammock so I can't use the safety sleep so I got a couple of miracle blankets from the Sleep Store and they work brilliantly, she hasn't escaped once!

You can fold the pocket up at the bottom if they're a bit long. We used the Merino Kids Cocooi to start with but lil miss got too long for them really quickly. The Miracle Blanket should be OK for Ava, and they grow so fast!

LOL Emma, I'm the same with the competition to see if I can keep Hayden's arms in, I always have a smug smile when he wakes in the night but is still all swaddled up. If only he didnt protest so violently against the miracle blanket as it would be the perfect answer for keeping his hands secure - which might equate to a longer sleep for Mum in the night!!!

Daniel wakes up when we put him in the blanket, and has a big grin on his face while we wrap him! I think he likes the tightness (or is it that he's looking forward to the challenge of getting out of it?!).
We used a big square of cotton stretch from Sleep Store originally, but D started boxing his way out, so have switched to the miracle blanket. It's SOOO much easier.
