Yeah I watched it, oh my gosh so sad. I just want to go and cuddle and kiss and play with all the babies/kids.

i no i think she is wonderful! when i was 15 i went to russia and athens on a kings kids trip and while in greece we went and meet some gypsys they basiclly lived on a rubbish dump no houses no running water nothing. there where so many kids running round half naked as they had no clothes it was so sad. and then when they get to about 14 they forced to get married to some older guy. it puts things into perspective though how we complain about our lives and these babies go through more in there first years of life then we go through in a life time.

Oooh I wanna watch it - I'll be in tears though! I taped it. That's where my SIL was adopted from & I've had a few friends volunteer in orphanages in Romania. Wanna go! I wanna go!

I didn't see it, but I wish I had now.
A family friend adopted a child from Russia. She met her (now) daughter when she was 6 months old and finally got to bring her home on her 3rd birthday. It was such a long and drawn out process (not to mention emotionally exhausting), but it's all turned out really well.
The little girl is now 8 and is like any other Kiwi kid

So I've watched it now. ARGH I HAVE to go there!!! I figure a Builder and a Social Worker could be put to good use over there for a year or half, and our kids could benefit from it. We could save now while they're little and once they're old enough for an english-speaking school over there we could be off!! I'm sure it can be done.
