Has anybody built using a kitset company before?
How did you make it less stressful? Where were you able to cut costs? And would you do it again?
We are in the process of confirming the budget/finance for our new home. Stressing out a little ~ its already gone over, without the electrician quote which is going to be 'mates rates' as it is.
It will arrive and be put up to lockable shell stage, with internal walls and doors. We have family doing alot of the inside stuff.
To be honest, I don't know what the point of this post is. I'm just having a great big stress and needed to vent.
I've been working on this for a year, and now that its so close to actually happening before real, I'm just fretting we are going to have to let go of our dream.

I have...not sure if i would do it again or not....actually I possibly would now I know more about it and know what to look out for.
We did it mates rates with a friend who had a building company but that kind of made it harder.
Are you doing it as a fixed contract price to lock up stage with the place you are buying the kitset from or just basically buying it from them and having someone else build it to lock up stage?
