Is there any parents out there that are currently or have dealt with Talipes Equino-Varus (Congenital Club Foot) with their child?

My daughter has just been put in a cast for this and i was wanting to know if there was anyone out there i can share this with.

No me sorry but my friends wee boy had it, he is now two, but I think she got in contact with a support group which she found really good. I know it was a long hard road but he is doing really well now.

both my girls had positional club foot. Luckily it righted   itself without intervention. Although my youngest is very pigeon toed when she walks as was i when i was young. I think it is genetic in our family too. But i think ours is more a hip thing. Anyway i havent taken her to the doctor yet but i know she will be getting a refferal to an orthopeadic surgen. Im still in the if i ignore it it may go away stage. It just seems like this little girl is destined to be a medical challange.

My girl's foot was first diagnosed as positional by the Labour Ward's physio and baby doctor, however after seeing the ortho specialist he said it wasn't positional it was structural. The heel bone isn't in the correct place and part of the ankle is dislocated. Her achillies muscle is very tight and may need surgery.

my feet were facing inwards when i was little. i had to have an operation when i was four to stretch the tendons on my left foot (and was in a cast for 6 weeks) but my right one sorted itself out. it didnt affect me at all either, i was up walking at 9 months.
