Does anyone know of a hotel/motel that is really reasonably priced in Auckland CBD (for a Monday night)??? I have to go to Akld for a work course and want to stay the night before so I'm not flying up and back in one day, but have to pay for it myself....so something reasonable is really really necessary!!!

Depends what sort of standard you can put up with! I've stayed at the Quest before and it was perfectly comfy and quite reasonably priced. But you could stay at a backpackers for cheaper! Maybe try ratestogo.com or wotif.com for some ideas?

I had a look at Wotif but they don't go ahead far enough (it's for 10th November)...will keep an eye on it though. And will check out Citylife- thanks!! I just really want somewhere basic as it's only for one night, and in the CBD as the course is based at our Head Office which is on Shortland St.

we stayed at formula 1 hotel which was 5mns walk from casino/queen st area.........room was nice, very small and it was $50
there's no kitchen stuff at all though, not that you'd probably need it over 1 night, but we were expecting at least a spoon!
