So while I am minding my own own business in my bedroom I hear some russling on the lounge like a cat or something, Just as I am about to go and check it out this loud bird sound comes from the lounge. Gah I am scared of birds so I immediately start to have kitterns. I close my bedroom door while trying to think of what to do. I creap and open the door to sneak out and see what is actually in my house at which time this HUGE black thing flies pass my head. I scream blue murder and slam my door. It turns out the black bird isnt in the lounge, it was in my hallway stalking me. I ring mum and she laughing at the thought of me locked in my room. Next thing while on the phone to mum I hear things crashing and falling of objects. Now there is no way I was going out to investigate. Mum is in the middle of something and said she will rescue me as soon as she has finished. She then rings me about 15mins later and I tell her all is quiet so she encourages me on to go and check if the bird has gone. Again I try and use every brave bone in my body to leave the room but just as Im about to take one step into the hallway it sees me and comes charging across the floor at me, again I scream my lungs out (poor mum on the other end of the phone) and slam the door. Mum is ROFL her AO at this stage while I am again a prisoner in my room. She arrives an hour later with the kids. The bird had gone but left loads of dropping thru the house and knocked things off the window and shelves in the kitchen.

Yay for mum to the rescue!! LMAO about it now but at the time was crapping myself big time...damn bird

Hahaha i feel your fear.

We had something similar at one of my old flats except me and my flatmate were commando crawling on the floor around the room with rackets working out how we could chase it (her in a towel cos she got caught up in it just out of the shower) out while the cat was going mental. Fortunately her BF arrived at the right time and as he came in the bird got a fright and flew in the right direction out the door. Needless to say he was in hysterics and didnt let us live it down for ages.

Moths, thats my fear, and they are NOT "night butterflies " like some freak tried to tell me , they are furry and fly at you and disintegrate.

ha , oh yes, the chicken story . I shall tell it

So, my bf and i and our two hooligans bought KFC and went to eat it at Lloyd Elsmore park , and as soon as we step out of the car, there are all these chickens , peck peck pecking around us .
So the hooligans climbed to the top of the jungle gym thing and BF and i climbed on top of the picnic table , and the blimming chickens hopped up on the seats, trapped we were, trapped .
Then , they left , saints be praised !!!

all was fine, til ...a van pulled up, and some kids got out , and like slow motion , they pulled a chip from the packet, instantly , all the evil chickens come back ,
Bugger this , said we, and went back to the car,i hopped in and gave a scream.
Stupid bf left her window open and there was a beady eyed chicken sitting next to me.

Could have been a rook, they're culling them at the moment as they're causing havoc with people.

DH read this post and he's suggested that the bird might be hiding somewhere in your house waiting for you to let your guard down.

He's mean

can i suggest you get a cat? a bird would not last 5 minutes in our house. ROFL it must be very hard having a phobia like that though. I hate seagulls but not birds in general, and DH does a fair amount of teasing on the seagulls.

Oh man, that is horrible!
I hate birds too, our cat used to bring them in the house alive all the time (she now wears a bell) and they would fly around (thats the part I hate - flying around your head!) and the cat would torment them,. DH would have to come and rescue me and the bird!
Poor you kels ... Hope you are not too traumatised!
