Ok, first of all I haven't had a C-section but four weeks ago I had abdominal surgery which resulted in exactly the same cut as a C-section. (I had ovarian cyst + ovary + fallopian tube removed).
My question is, how long after having a C-section did you go back to having bikini waxes? My bikini line is driving me mad but it goes up a cm or so above my scar and I don't know whether I'm allowed to have it waxed yet or what might happen if I did The scar is still pretty tender to touch. The surgery was 4 weeks ago tomorrow.
If I shouldn't wax for a while yet, what other bikini line control methods are there to look into? I've always been a waxer so this is new territory for me.

Ummm, not quite the same thing but I had my appendix out and got waxed while the dressing was still on (so had a random patch of hair later lol). It was sore because the skin had to be held tight but didn't do any damage.
Good luck
PS Random but my waxing lady was just laughing remembering this with me last time

With my laparoscopy scar, because it was still tender when I first started being waxed, my beauty lady just made sure she was extra careful around there and didn't wax where the actual scar was - she left it or used her automatic tweezers (I love those things!!!). I had my first wax around 6-7 weeks after surgery?

A few Dr's I have spoken to have actually recommended waiting 6 months before waxing on or near the scar tissue. If your scar is still tender, i'd wait a bit and check with your Dr before you have it done just to be sure

I waited until the scar had healed up and was sweet as.

OK I usually shave rather than wax anyway but I would say that I wouldn't have even contemplated having wax near my scar for at least 5 months.
Now it's completely healed and just a thin white line I'd be fine with it though. But if it's tender to touch I probably wouldn't wax at the moment.
