Right so i was sitting at my computer this afternoon just doing some catch up and stuff when i hear this awful distorted music coming from my neighbours house, i waited for a bit to see if it would get quieter but to no avail, i mean this was so loud i could hear it everywhere in our house! so i decided to go next door and ask them nicely to turn it down, i wandered next door and he was in the driveway working on a car with the music blaring out something loud that i couldnt even hear myself talking! I told him i was trying to sleep and could he please turn it down, he was nice and turned it down but then i heard his bitch of a wife demand to know what i had said and all that and he just said i was trying to sleep and she was all huffy, i mean come on its OBVIOUS im pregnant!!!!

I am so seriously sick of these people they live in a state house with heaps of people there, they play really loud music, throw their bits of rubbish over the fence and just plain irritate me!!! They used to have this boat that they would sit in the driveway and start up at 8.30pm at night!!!!!!!! They park in front of our house instead of theirs and sometimes even almost cut most of our driveway off.

I had to rant i mean its so bad that im even considering moving coz i really dont want to have to deal with that with a new born baby they are driving me insane!!!

Sorry just so needed to rant!!!!

Man thats so not cool. You so don't need that when Ella gets here. Sounds like he was really nice about it and his wife sounds like she could be abit of a bitch about things. Hopefully they got the idea today and you don't have to go over there again and tell them to turn there music down again. Good Luck.
Thats why i'm so glad that i live in the country, don't have to worry about any of that sh*t.

Oh hun, reminds me of our neighbors ! Mind you, they only pull crappy stunts like that at 2am usually and not as often as it sounds like *your* neighbors do ! I hope they move out for you and your family's sake... hehehe...

To tell you the truth I wouldnt be to worried about it in the middle of the day. Thats the price you pay for living in suburbia. I would however be phoning noise control if it was happening at night.

In saying that i can understand how it would be annoying trying to have a sleep and having music blaring.

Yeh i can normally tolerate their noise but it was so insanely loud!!

I have yelled at their kids once coz they thought it would be a good idea to go up and down our street (its a hill) on one of those 3 wheeler plastic toys at 11pm
Needless to say i wasnt a happy camper!!!

I just personally think they are all inbred!

Bad neighbours just ruin being at home! Sounds like your's are real losers, too, you poor thing. Good on ya for going over and talking to him though! I kept soft earplugs by the bed when we had terrible neighbours, and even wrote them a snotty "it's great to share a neighbourhood but I'm sick of sharing in your drunken arguments in the driveway at 2am" note and didn't sign it (what a wuss!!!).

Just so you know, noise control should respond to a complaint whether it be day or night. If it is distrubing your peace and quiet, then they can do something about it. I think they give a warning or two, and then if it continues, the stereo gets confiscated...

We had some neighbours from hell a while back, and they were playing stereo with the bass really loud until the wee hours of the morning EVERY night of the week. I mean so loud that our bed would vibrate in time with the bass, and they werent even directly adjoining our propoerty!!!!

Nevermind...we got to know noise control really well (along with most of the other neighbours in our area) and the noisy neighbours moved out.      Defentatley worth calling noise control and finding out what your rights are!

Jezsika...you really need to sort these guys out before bub arrives....if your bub is any thing like mine then loud noises wont go down well for her or you. I agree call noise control next time, dont bother talking to them again. And by the sound of it the B****Y wife of the neighbour might just do it again to piss you off.

I can imagine how terrible it is!!

Well i have good news i have spoken to hubby and we are going to be moving, i just remembered that isnt the only problem, our landlord has ordered them to fix their driveway (any water runs off their property onto his and floods it) so that means they will have to rip up their driveway and put in drains and i KNOW that wont go down well with me or Ella. So Cory has finally agreed to moving, just need to find a place in the same areaish so i can keep my midwife.

Yay for that!!

The sooner the better...so you can just relax before bub is here....and when she is here, you both can bond and relax with ease.....Good on you both for the move!!!
