Ava has been recently diagnosed with bronchiolitis and she gets really stuffed up at night.

We were running a dehumidifier in our room where she sleeps because the room is damp but i have read that that can dry out the air and make her even more congested.

What about a humidifier? how would that work in a damp room i wonder - would it make it worse?

Also we run a small oil heater - should we keep the door open?

Karvol. I put it on a tea towel and peg it to the end of Olis cot

Or you could use a vaporiser and put the Karvol in the water, thats what we do, but we use one that comes in a bottle and lasts a lot longer than Karvol called Eu-Clear inhalent. Works the same tho.

We were given a vapouriser when lil miss had bronchiolitis, I haven't tried it coz she ended up in hospital anyway but if she gets congested again I'll definitely give it a go. We run an oil fin heater in her room too.

LOL Jess - I know one of the ladies working on the oxygen trials, Maya went to playcentre with her daughter and I ran into her when we were there with lil miss.

When Chloe had bronchiolitis, we had a vaporiser going in her room and put karvol on her pajamas. Also propped up her cot and made sure it didn't get too cold in her room. When she was really struggling we would take her into the steamy bathroom to help clear her up a bit. It's hard when there isn't a lot you can do to help them

I was told to put a bowl of steaming hot water in the room as the damp air is easier to breathe or something
