I went and bought meat in bulk for the first time today, a $155 meat pack from an organic butcher. I thought it was really good value as there was loads in it!

Who else buys meat in bulk? Could we get a list together of butchers that do good deals?

The one we went to was Clarks Organic Butchers in Glen Eden.

I always do at the moment and really only get it from Pak'n'Save and Mad Butcher in Palmy.

What did you get in the pack??

Wow that sounds awesome, we've never done that before as we don't have the freezer space.

We do however buy $6 chickens from the Mad Butcher. They're great.

we often buy a lamb and stuff. my freezer died and the insurance guy told me that i could get a lamb for $60 rather than the $80 I paid. i ended up going back to find out where he got those prices from - the butcher. yah insurnace man has ssave ed me money

the only thing I HATE about metapacks - too man sausgaes and too much mince (we buy the preminium cause it is less fatty)

Man I WISH we had a decent sized freezer!
It would be so much more convenient buying in packs than having to buy every fortnight at the supermarket.
