Isnt it always bloody murphys law.
So i've psyched myself up to go on a plane on wednesday and everythings sweet.
Now thomas has a cold and a bad cough (as do I but I can handle it) I cant get him into the stupid doctor as they're booked out and wont take him at all! Not even for a 2 min visit. So what do I do? Do I take him on the plane? Or do I just cancel the whole damned lot?

Take him on the plane, a cold is fine.

If you think he needs to go to the dr take him to an after hours one.

He'll be fine as long as he doesnt have an ear infection...so if just a cold, no worries.  Do you BF him? If so, stick him on the boob for take off and landing...or if you think you will be too stressed for your let down. bring a bottle or dummy for him so he can suck and therefore equalise his ears.

Nope unless he has an ear infection. If you BF BF him up and down if not give him a bottle.

how old is Thomas?  I remember various stages of flying with my Tom.  When he was little it was SO EASY...he slept!  As he got older it got harder and I would be forcing the dummy in his mouth on take off or landing.  Now I have to have dummy, bottle etc all ready to alternate...little monkey!  Just be careful they spit their dummies out onto the floor and then they roll under seats and are bloody hard to retrieve.  I'd recommend taking a couple, plus toys, books, snacks (if he's on solids) and outting them in a little bag that you can tuck into the pocket in the seat in front.  Its really hard to bend down and pull things out from the under the seat...especially with a wrigglebum!

Peek a boo worked well!  and Tom like to "read" the safety instructions...its laminated so he couldnt destroy it!

hopefully you will be so busy looking after Thomas that you wont have a chance to worry.
