Ryan and Katelyn sleep with sleep-wraps and i have been trying to get them out of them but to no avail. They just stand up in there cots and talk to each other and play and as soon as i put the sleep-wrap back on there cots they go to sleep. Does this mean they still want to be in the sleep-wrap or is it just cause they can't move when the sleep-wrap is back on.
I want to get them out of them because they need to beable to sleep without them and i want to put them in bed and not have to go in and lie them down every 5 minutes. I have tryed to leave them but they just play and talk. It's hard because they have to share a room so i can't seperate them. I started using them because they would always move up the top of their cots and it would wake them up all the time and i just got sick of it. I didn't use one with Blair so this is all new to me. I leave my kids in the safety sleep as long as possible. I found they both slept way better with them than without them. So Alyssa was out of it by about 18-19months and Jayde is still using hers. Maybe try using a sleeping bag type of thing? I haven't done this with my kids, but I have a friend who moved her son from a wrap to a sleeping bag (one of these type of things - http://www.trademe.co.nz/Baby-gear/Blankets-covers/Sleeping-bags/auction-54088256.htm - TradeMe Link ) then to unwrapped quite successfully. ------------- Becca, mum of 2 girls & 3 boys |

Hannah has never slept well unwrapped, but she is getting too big for them now. Have started to put her in a sleeping bag, but with her arms in the body bit not in the arm bit. i kept jack in his safety sleep as long as i could! once he started to undo it and walk about in the cot i didn't bother with it. i think that was when he was 14mths. he still moves around his cot all night, we just keep his room warm and cover him up before we go to bed.
it's bad enough some nights with jack as he does the same as your twins, but chats to his teddies etc instead. must make it hard when there's the two of them

Have tried the sleeping bags and they still move around to much, if i could put them in there own bedrooms it would be great but i can't so will just leave them in there sleep-wraps till they get to big fot them. They just seem to go to sleep so much better when in there sleep-wraps. My mum and step father call them 'straight jackets' they think they are so mean and whenever Mum has Ryan and Katelyn they don't sleep very well for her and she wonders why. I have told her to use the sleep-wraps but she won't, so she can deal with them not sleeping, doesn't bother me cause i'm not there to have to deal with grumpy babies. ------------- Kelly, mother to 4 wonderful children. http://lilypie.com">
