...in November now I am talking about Nigel here. He got injured last week and they thought he had broken his neck. He hadn't but pulled the ligaments in it. But that meant that he couldn't do his last exercise which meant he can't graduate in November. He has to do the exercise in January next year and will graduate in February next year. I am a bit gutted that he won't be graduating with the rest of the people he has been with this year (I think there is one that is in the same situation as well). But at least he is still graduating, unlike the many before that have been kicked out this year. Just have to sort now if we are going to go to the graduation functions now. ------------- I was a puree feeder, forward facing, cot sleeping, pram pushing kind of Mum... and my kids survived! |

At least he WILL graduate though, which is cool. And it probably doesn't matter that he doesn't graduate with the rest of them, they never see each other again anyway lol Hope he's OK now though? |

Aww Becks sorry to hear that his graduation has been delayed. It is a shame he won't graduate with the ones he went through with. However, I'm so glad he didn't break his neck - that wouldn't have been cool  -------------

Um kinda. He has to go back to Palmy on Tuesday for more xrays and is still in a neck brace. He will still do all the stuff the rest of the cadets have to do till December. Once the rest of the cadets leave to go to their units/holiday (middle of December) he will stay at OSC (I think still not sure) and only have 2 weeks holiday. ------------- I was a puree feeder, forward facing, cot sleeping, pram pushing kind of Mum... and my kids survived! |

OCS is a little different as there are only a few officer positions for this year so the chances of them all seeing each other is highly unlikely. mummy_becks - the neck thing does not sound good My DH was in the engineer unit, and they originally thought he had just pulled ligaments in his neck.
It turned out that two discs had slipped in his neck, and one of the discs caused permanent damage to his spinal cord. And because of the muck-up by the doctors at Palmy Hospital and in the army, this wasn't diagnosed until 2 months after the injury happened. See if he can get an MRI done, as it is covered under the army's ACC scheme, as a x-ray won't show up a slipped disc. And because of the delay in correctly diagnosing his injury and having to wait 6 more months for an operation, my husband ended being medically discharged. ------------- http://lilypie.com">
