Just got back from a great weekend in Raglan and was wondering if anyone fancies killing some time chatting?

I've just been to Raglin too. Waves weren't too good, but neither am I. Hoping my baby'll be better than me and get a Roxy sponsorship or something! (It's going to be a girl by the way!)

No idea. Like a name one day, and then not the next! Not a good sign for liking names for years! We had enough trouble naming our pets! When are you due?

Ooops, sorry, hope I didn't upset you! My wife is having a rest on the sofa now. Thinking about having a snooze myself. Stock up on sleep whilst you can, my already-parenting friends keep telling me!

Sounds like a good plan. I feel the need for sleeping most of the time.. Will have to remember to tell that to my boss at work.....!!!

Well, all bosses are supposed to let you have flexible work hours now! Wonder if National'll give Dads more paid paternity time off work? Or even more money for Mums come to think of it!

No thank goodness! Read in one of the 'Expectant Dads' guides that I should be holding her hair back and sponging her forehead whilst she was being sick. When I mentioned that to her she said that there was no way she wanted me anywhere near her when she was hurling! So I offered to clean the loo every night before bed instead. Never needed to though!

I had very little sickness too. Very pleased with that!!! Not loking forward to being pregnant over the heat of the summer. Hoping to get a paddling pool to relax in

That sounds like a good idea. Saw some in Kmart a couple of weeks ago. Big difference in price though as the sizes go up. Might be worth shopping around... I've got to start thinking about storage. Our nursery is currently known as the 'Junk Room'. My surf board, snow board and diving gear take up most of the room... Maybe we should've got a house with a garage. Or underhouse storage. Or even a bit of flat land big enough for a shed. Will get there eventually, but eventually is getting closer every day!!!

Oh dear sounds like you have got a bit of work on your hands. Hope DW doesn't nag to much!! that's quite funny having a room called a junk room becoming a nursery!!! It will be filled with Babies junk!!!!

Nothing for our baby will be junk! It'll all be loved and baby will like everything. There won't be a single thing we buy thinking 'Oh look, how cute!" and baby takes one look and goes 'Nah!". Yeah, right! Have you bought much stuff yet? We've just got a Mountain Buggy and a rocker swing seat. Trying to decide on a nursery theme first...

We have a play gym we got from the p and C show last weekend and some clothes! not sure on our theme either.. maybe under the sea.... or the jungle

Lots of animals sounds good. Zoos usually have some marine life at them too!
What jobs have you given your DH to sort out? I'm in charge of transport: ie car seats/capsules etc. Guess she thought that since I wash the cars I must know about things that go in them already! And typically it was the one thing I couldn't find much info about on the internet. Had to go into the PLunket office in the end!

Hadn't really thought about giving him a job as such.. guess transport will be  his thing as well as entertainment. Haven't even though about contacting plunket...

Entertainment??? Hmmm, in car DVD and PLaystation systems? Probably a bit young yet. I'd quite like one though! Don't have a playstation, but she might let me if I could convince her it was to help the baby develop her motor reflex skills and hand/eye coordination! Might need to plan that one carefully... ;-)

We have a Wii, think DH will be getting baby to develop motor skills using that!!!

Yeah, but not too good for in the car! Bit difficlt to play tennis whilst strapped into a car seat! Normal controlers are a bit easier. But then again, do I want my darling daughter getting hooked onto computer games so early? My wife and I are already internet addicts!
