I notice there are some tests out there that claim to be accurate up to 4 days before your missed period. I know it depends on when implantation occurs etc but I'm interested to know...
How many of you got a bfp before your missed period? How may days (approx. before)? If it was after your missed period, how far after? ------------- Mummy to Gabrielle and Ashley |

I used Clear Blue and got a BFP the day before my period was due. I only didn't try any earlier because I had no tests at home to tempt myself  But no idea whether it would have worked before then (probably not as I think the box says it's accurate FROM the day you're due).------------- SJ Callum - Dec 2008 Daniel - Oct 2010 |

I got a really clear BFP on a Discovery test 3 days before AF was due and on internet sticks 2 days before AF was due. -------------

I got a faint positive at 9dpo, so at least 4-5 days before my AF was due, super early!! I kept testing every day after that and the lines got darker. Yes the HPTS cost me a fortune lol!! ------------- Mum to Mr 10, Mr 6 and Mr 4

I've had a faint BFP 8 days post ovulation - so 4 days before AF is due on a normal 28 day cycle. I think this was with a first response test.
This time I used internet cheapies and got a faint BFP the day after my AF STARTED - it was a very strange early pregnancy, but that's another story again! ------------- http://lilypie.com">

Faint positive on internet cheapy test 14DPO, but I wasn't sure whether this cycle was going to be "normal" or not as it was my first doing acupuncture for various fertility related things (plus had a BFN from 10DPO). As you know I bought a Discover test the same night and got a much stronger line, and used FMU 15DPO for a much stronger line on the same internet cheapies as before. ------------- Mama to two earth walkers & two angels. 12dpo with the gremlins which was 2 days after AF was due (short LP) and 14dpo with lil miss which was 3 days after AF was due. No idea with Maya but I was at least a week late. ------------- Maya Grace (28/02/03)

I used ClearBlue this time on the morning AF was due and got a definate +ve. With Jack it was about 4 days after AF was due and got a very faint line with First Response ------------- Lindsey

Mine was a faint BFP with an internet cheapie about 11dpo..so about 2-3 days before AF was due. Kept testing every day if I recall but found First Response took HEAPS longer to show even a faint BFP than internet cheapies or the MS quickcard did! -------------   http://lilypie.com" rel="nofollow">

Mine was about the day of AF being due (but my cycle was mad so who knows!), but I had other symptoms about 4 days before - sore boobs and weird taste. ------------- Mum to two wee boys |

Mine was the day after it was due - I had been as regular as clockwork, plus I "knew". DH thought I was wasting a test by not waiting, was nice to be proven right -------------

I'm crap with tests I cant usually test until about a week to 10 after period was due. and I hated waiting!

I got a "half strength" positive on the sunday, AF due the thurs, so 4 days before. I think it was a first response test.
