Does anyone have any advice on these?  We want to get one for DH's elderly parents so they can see photos of the grandkids.  We thought we'd load them onto a card, send it up and then maybe send up a new card and get them to return the one they have so we can keep updating photos.

I am looking for something that is not too expensive (under $150) and is EASY to use.  I just bought one from the warehouse and I cant get it to work...its crap!!!

Your idea with the memory card is good, ours has a pretty decent sized inbuild memory but obviously I have to download new pics all the time. Your way they can just swap the cards over.

Not sure what brand mine is sorry but you do need to get a decent one otherwise the images aren't very good.

I have been eyeing them up too as they have a great one at DC. They are dropping in price too which is great. I think you can get the 7" for as low as $79 I have seen in some mailers. I also want one for my plunket clinic to load pics of my plunket babies onto.

Dig frames are pretty basic but i'd recommend you get a well known brand for warranty/replacement/repair issues.

Just keep an eye on the resolution of them.. some of the very cheap ones have a small resolution like 640 x 480 so the pictures dont display very well :)

I would highly suggest getting one that takes a USB stick - because that way you can transfer your photos onto the stick and then you dont have to have one of your memory sticks out of your camera!

if you can keep an eye on 1-day today, they change their specials every 20mins or when the product sells out, I am sure the digital photo frame will come up

I've got one and while its an older model it was one of the first out its really good. But to be honest i don't use it much. It can take 1gb cards but i need to update the programming to do this but i don't have an sd writer on my computer so i just use smaller cards. Overall they are great have you seen the key rings advertised that do the same thing they only take 10 photos though i think.

I have ordered one from Noel Leemings so hopefully that will be good.  I finally got the warehouse one working (problem with my SD card) but the resolution was just terrible so hopefully this other one will be better.

Yep, seen the key ring ones but we want something that they will sit on their china cabinet etc and see all the photos.  My parents have internet so are kept up to date via email, webcam and facebook but DHs parents dont have a computer (or even a DVD player) so this is going to be high technology for them but we feel they are missing so much of Tom's growth....not to mention peppercorn.
