I love buying "The Healthy Food Guide" and this was in one of their recent issues...which I decided to finally try out today. It is a fantastic recipe - super quick, easy, yummy, delicious, pretty good for you - and my 18 mth old toddler loved them too. I used Signature Range Spicy Tomato Chutney - but think it would taste fab with my favourite Barker's Chutneys - Sundried Tomato & Olive Chutney / or Capsicum and Apricot Chutney.

Cheese & Chutney Quick Bread - By Sophie Gray

Ingredients

    * 2 tablespoons reduced-fat spread (I used Olivani Lite)
    * 2 cups self-raising flour
    * 4 tablespoons grated Edam cheese
    * 1 teaspoon dried sage
    * 1/2up calcium-enriched trim milk
    * 1/2up water
    * 1/3 cup chutney
    * extra grated cheese

Instructions
Step 1 Preheat oven to 220°C. Process or rub spread into flour with your fingertips to form fine crumbs. Add cheese and sage. Add liquids and process or lightly mix to form soft dough.

Step 2 Lightly knead dough on a well-floured surface and shape into about 8 small loaves. Spread chutney on tops and add a sprinkle of grated cheese.

Step 3 Place dough on a greased baking tray and bake for 15 minutes. Reduce temperature to 180°C and cook a further 10 minutes until bread is golden.

Recipe Information:
Portions: 6
Time to make: 25 minutes
Total cost of all ingredients: $2.46 / $0.41 per serve
    * Vegetarian

The Healthy Food Guide website is fantastic also - and has most of their magazine recipes on there, plus added extras!

I love the The Healthy Food Guide too. I have actually started planning out a weekly menu just so I can try the different recipes.

I just bought the Holiday issues but haven't had a chance to read it.

Glad you liked them. They are just so quick and easy. I will look forward to making them in the winter to have with our weekly soup!

Yes, the Healthy Food guide is fantastic!! I always print off their weekly planning sheets to plan out my shopping and meals for the week.
