$2 at the one down the road and they are quite generous IMO, and at another place a bit further away it's $2.50 for regular chips and $3.20 for kumara chips.

Is your local So Fine Seafoods? They're so worth it (top fish & chip shop in the country!). We had f&c's from there last night. We ALWAYS get more than we ordered, not just in potato fritters either! Last night, we got an extra piece of fish.

I think ours varies around 2 to 2.50?
I did notice when I was in Oz it was way more expensive. They dont' get F&C over there cause the fish is really expensive too & that is at a coastal city!

Mel, we go to a place in Royal Oak just by the roundabout on the same side of the road and Pak n Save. Think its called "the best fish and chip shop" or something like that.
To be fair, they are blimmin delicious, and they only cook in alpha one rice bran oil so healthier than most.

Yep Oz is very expensive for fish and chips out of the packet. You are better off to buy and deep fryer and frozen chips and frozen fish fillets and cook them yourself.
