Hi Girls,
So how many of you have had a baby shower thrown for you or thrown one for a friend? I never had one when I was pregnant with Maddisyn but I have read that it is usually an afternoon event. So my questions are simple: 1.) What type of nibbles do you serve for guests to eat? 2.) What great games did you come across to play? My friends threw me one.....
They bought samies, small pies, cookies, cakes, sausage roll, Samosa's, spicy nibbles, small fruit tarts, chip and dip, crackers and pate........ I played guess the poo - they melted three different chocolate bars in the oven and then pasted them on nappies. You are suppose to smell and guess which type of chocolate bar it was. Yeah just google baby shower games and food. That's how i did it. I also did the chocolate poo game too. It was really funny to see the looks on peoples faces. Hope it didn't put them of chocies though. hehehe. -------------

Thank you ladies.
A friend of mine suggested a "mini" theme which I think sounds really neat!! For example, mini sandwhiches, mini cupcakes, mini spring rolls, mini quiches, mini puffs, mini doughnuts... so many things!! ------------- mama_wendz My Girls: Maddisyn Tylr & Layla-Mei Virginia

Haha I got my baby shower thrown for me and the one thing that annoyed me is they had a plater of ham, cheese (brie and all the stuff I LOVE), mussels, oysters, crackers etc and then Wine, Vodka, coffee, tea & orange juice. so I ate crackers the whole time as I couldn't drink any alcohol or coffee and tea and OJ made me feel sick!
So if you are doing one for yourself think of YOU!! A game they did with me is they guess how many toilet paper squares you are around, then they do it and whoever gets it right or the closest gets a prize! my partner said 26 and i was 11!! he got a booting up the a*** from me!! ------------- http://www.snugglepie.com">

oh no lenabeanz!! now i see the UP side of being told I can choose what food I want served at the babyshower.
At first I thought, well your organising it can't you just make anything? haha (its my aunties) But now I see its best this way so I can make sure we have things I CAN eat. lol I'm thinking lots and lots of club sammys cos Im just so into sammys at the moment, as well as a fruit platter and vege platter. I reeeeeeeally like that game you were talking about lenabeanz.... I had one put on for me by my family and they had a whole lot of nibbles, chips n dip, fruit, cakes, savouries, sausage rolls and club sandwich's.
Games - we played one where you had to fold a cloth nappy & put it on the baby, the winner was the person who did it the quickest. Because we didn't have enough baby dolls we ended up using balloons. Another games is where you give every one a piece of paper and they write down a thought/wish for you and your baby & put it in a box. You can either pull them out in front of everyone & read it out loud then guess who wrote it or save it for later when your by yourself in case they bring you tears. -------------
