hi as you all know mila has severe eczema since she was born and in the last 6months her skin on her arms have been pealing off every day (like the size of when you tuch your thumb with your index finger) in big clumps like that !! it now weeps all the time if you tuch her your hands are wet! and the back of her head weeps allday leaving it red and hair stuck to her. and eczema from head to toe! i feel like i cant enjoy my baby coz shes always crying and itching.. for the past week she has has swolen lymph nodes under her armpits and back of her neck and in the groin. shes breing admeited into hospital tomorow as shes not sleeping anymore ( didint sleep till 7.30am thismoring) the docs are starting to think that she may have congential skin disorder or lymph system disorder or they are even concidring rare skin disorder! i just needed to talk about it and get some feedback

oh Chonni, that's so sad!  I feel for you right now, as Jett has eczema, but not nearly as bad as Mila by the sounds, and his is bad enough to drive himself and me mad!  I hope the Dr's can find out the cause, and get Mila better!!  Lots of hugs hun, and keep us up-to-date with how things are going.

There was a documentary not that long ago about a little girl in England who had skin that rubs off?

I remember childhood eczema & it was so itchy, I hope she gets better soon.

Atleast with her in the hospital she will be monitored so the Dr's can see what it is like over a longer period of time rather than just at appts.

Hopefully they can find some sort of solution for her or atleast make it managable for her and you.

I know it is heartbreaking to see our little one's in pain but know that you are doing everything that you can for her. Give her lots of cuddles and kisses.

Ohhh Chonni, I am SO sorry to hear about your struggle with poor little Mila. Eczema is SUCH a horrible horrible thing...and it doesn't get the recognition from people that it deserves. It can make you so totally miserable!!! Your poor wee girl - thank goodness she is going into hospital so they can try and figure out what is going on. Huge hugs to you and your family. I have suffered from terrible eczema and asthma from before I was 1 yr old and have been hospitalised many times because of it. I am on oral and cream steriods all the time, and antiobiotics cos it always ends up getting infected. It is such an awful thing to get and is so hard to get any relief from itching etc. My Mum had to sew gloves and socks onto my PJ's so I wouldn't itch! My second born (5 mths) has ezcema. While you can't clear it up easily, there are a few things you can do to help a little. Let me know if you want some info etc.

www.kumfycotton.co.nz does clothing specifically for kids with sensitive skin. We bought a top with closed mittens when cath was scratching at her head and it really seemed to help. They sell arm socks so maybe check out their website now that your daughters skin is a little better?

Yeah I went to school with the girl who developed kumfycotton, and her son had severe eczema as well and she founded the business as she couldn't find any clothing that would be suitable for her son.  She was on NZ Dragon's Den and they liked her business and invested with her.  I'd say her products would be great!
