We just got accepted for our first house, the first I've officially applied for too ....you don't know how proud, excited, happy AND scared I am, all wrapped up into one!
Sorting out paperwork on Fri and then WINZ on Monday ...its funny because it wasn't even a house we were meant to be viewing today. The original house we went to view was disgusting (photos were totally deceiving), broken windows, dirt smeared all over the carpets, bad bad neighbourhood) Then the property manager told me she knew just the place for us, safe and secure. We drive there and instantly I fell in love, the neighbours were lovely too.
I'm stoked, and not looking forward to the stress of moving!

I know, best Xmas ever. I'm quite nervous though ...I'm a bit of a daddy's girl in that he's always held my hand and done everything for me ...he was quite upset when I told him, he's going to miss Lucas so much!
Time for me to spread my wings though

It's 2 bedroom Unit (HUGE bedrooms, can both fit king beds etc both with double wardrobes) ...Very large lounge, and new kitchen. Bathroom has the shower and bath, separate toilet ...its only attached to the unit next door via the internal garages being next door to each other, but we have our own separate fenced off courtyards out the back (no grass, just concrete ...will be a while before I let Lucas play out there after all the run ins he's had with concrete lately )...but the reserve is close by, beaches a 5-10 min drive ...playgroups etc, 2-5 min walk to town. It's perfect. Great neighborhood and the people in unit next door are expecting a bub, young couple. They let us into their unit and introduced themselves etc. You know when you just get a good vibe?

I probably saw more of my Dad when I moved out than when I lived there ..
It went something like this ..
Dad, my fence needs fixing ..
Dad, the lawn is a bit long ..
Lol .. I think Dad enjoyed "getting out of the house" even if it was just to mine to do lawns!

I have to give the Agent a date tomorrow when I pay the letting fee etc, I have no flippin' idea because at the moment my father is still not happy about it, he's trying to pull out every excuse in the book as to why we can't move at the moment. But no matter when or where I want to move to, he will always be like this ...he is upset about Lucas leaving, he's been there right from the birth to now, he's like his own child and its not like we will be living around the corner iykwim. He's making me start doubting myself but I have to just get on with it and stick to my guns. Mums supportive though, as is Nana and everyone else, it's just Dad thats upset (him & Lucas are very close) *sigh*
Last thing I want to be doing is coming back with my tail in between my legs,

You are probably the apple of his eye as well, I remember the crap when I first moved out of home & I didn't have the added pull of a grandchild. I'm now looking shifting to Oz so I've been getting the same grief from my Mum.
Just keep on your own path & plan it out all yourself & stick to your guns, he'll come around a lot faster than you think. Plan special days or outings where he can take Lucas to make their time more special.
But others are right, I definitely see my parents more since I moved out. At the moment I'd be around there 5 days in a week Normally it's about three!
