......it when you go to the hairdresser, get home and then realise they did a crappy job!

I had my haircut last night and it is sooo crooked along the bottom that it is so noticeable. My friend couldn't believe how bad it is.

I would have said something at the time but the hairdresser didn't show me the back and she has done my hair before with no problems.

I can't decide whether to call her to fix or just get someone else to do it.

I know..... but there is nothing worse than going back to get someone to fix your hair when you really don't want them to touch it again. The layers are yuck too - sigh.

I will have to take DS with me as DH babysat yesterday.

Arrrh - Im so annoyed. I have so much to do today already!

Maybe give the manager a ring and get someone else to fix if you don't want her to touch it again?

What a pain. Is it a place that has other hairdressers too? Maybe you could ask if someone else there do it instead.

I know my hair sit's a lot differently dry than it does wet. One side curls up more than the other so it's very hard to get it straight when working with it wet. Although from the sounds, she generally just did a bad job if the layers aren't very nice either.

Get someone else at the salon to fix it.
A while ago, i got the most godawful cut by a supposed senior stylist. I went back the next day, and the 16 year old apprentice fixed it, and did a fantastic job - go figure.

Its happened too me and I went to a different hairdresser to get it fixed up and never went back to that one. Its the one thing I always dread when I get my hair cut as I have layers as well.

Poor you! I had the same thing happen the time before my last visit.
It was all going great until the very last bit when she hacked off the front layers really, really short and wide!
I was cringing inside and came home and cried.
I got it cut again last week (by someone else) and she was so horrified at the state of it that she didn't charge me for the cut. I'm in the yucky 'growing it out' stage now
I hope you can get it fixed up and looking how you want it!

Unfortunately she works from home so she is the only one!

That's what happens when you don't go to a normal salon I guess.

I used to have an awesome stylist at Morgan and Morgan but they are so expensive now that I can't afford to go there. But she has left anyway.

I have left a message for my hairdresser to call so will see if she calls back.

Also dont be pressured into going when it suits her, if it means that you wait a day or so till it works better for you with someone to look after ds then just tell her when it suits and work it from there

Oooooh that would make me angry. I did not have the courage to go back to my hairdresser when she did an awful job that it did not even resemble what I asked of her (I also had a pic to show her) and on top of that she tried to give me a mullet and i had to keep telling her to keep cutting it off at the back but she kept saying..,but it looks lovely...I said "Lady you have given me a mullet!!!!" So instead i got a much sorter bob than i wanted with layers on one side but not on the other.....go figure!!!

Sorry to hear you have not heard back from her...hope you do soon

I have taken a photo actualy lol! I was going to post it but I don't know how.

Anyway, she just rang and I am going back today(reluctantly). I just have a feeling it still won't be great but at least it will be better.

Caramel, that was so nice the other hairdresser fixed it for free. Sending lots of fast-growing-hair vibes your way!

Freesia, I have my hair straightened so it sticks out like dogs balls unfortunately.

After this, I'm not using her again. Anyone know a good hairdresser on the shore??

Star - I got a terrible haircut from an at home hairdresser. Really, REALLY bad!! I ended up paying Toni & Guy a small fortune for about half a dozen cuts to get it looking a bit normal again    Well, as normal as the ginger explosion ever looks!! Anyway - I feel for you!

OMG, when I first came home from the UK I got the WORST HAIRCUT IN THE WORLD EVER!!! I had quite a short cut, that kind of tucked behind my ears and I'd pretty it up wearing cute hair slides and flowers and stuff. I had 5 weddings to go to in 6 weeks so went in about a week before the first one to get it trimmed. OMG. She cut is so short all the way over that you could actually see my scalp. Except for the fringe. Which she left long to tuck behind my ears. I looked like the dude from that band Flock of Seagulls. Only more butch

I went home and cried and cried. Then went to another hairdresser who tidied it up and gave me some glittery hairspray to help me feel a bit more girly.

Hope your fix-it cut makes it all better Star    But I soooooo feel for you
