Ava has been on neocate for 1 1/2 weeks now. I dont know if it is normal, but she didnt move her bowels for 5 days then she did 2 in 2 hours, and now its been 3 days and no poos again. Ive tried brown sugar, prune juice, water, lactulose - everything because i assume she is constipated?! Nothing has worked. Its just made her windy, gassy and general uncomfortable (esp the lactulose). Is she constipated or is this normal on Neocate (i read something about it leaving little waste?)

My girls were always really regular on it, but then they still go at least 3 times a day each so I think they just have speedy digestive systems.
You could try giving the 0800 Neocate number a call and see what they say. I know that black/dark green poos are normal on Neocate.
How is she doing other than the constipation issue? Has the Neocate made any difference to the reflux?

Hey Emma
I tried sending you a PM but it said your inbox is full!
She has been really gassy and unsettled. Im thinking it is the lactulose they prescribed for her constipation. Other than that, Im really not sure...she was more settled on the karicare for the first few weeks until she got really constipated but i guess the gas/constipation just built up and it has never really resolved. We have our peadiatrician appointment tomorrow at starship to see a Dr Anita Leversha so i will see what she says.

Spencer went everyday but then he was on one lot of solids a day so that might have made a difference.
Hope her tummy is feeling better soon.
