Can anyone give me some advice on how to get around this?

The instructions are pretty simple, except the part where I have to screw the roof into the base of car, the screws won't fit/go into the damn holes ....they have a black plastic covering with a bit of a hole which i assume the screw is suppose to go into, except i can see not far behind the entrance of hole its blocked - WTF ...am i suppose to remove it?

Luckily we decided to assemble this for Nana to give to him tomorrow, instead of fussing around on Xmas day ....but im not holding my breath. It's a lot cheaper looking IRL ...very plastic and ugh. Glad she only paid $89 in a sale, that's all i can say.

Anyone else have issues with assembling theirs? And are the wheels suppose to be free flow, like they aren't connected to the steering wheel? I find that weird ....

Gah and the door is incredibly stiff to open.

So do i remove these black things that are where the screws are meant to go in, or do i widen the hole? HELP! Losing my patience

aww thats cool, thanks for replying anyhoo, the part im talking about you probably can't see coz it would only be visible before the roofs been attached (i think!) ...tempted to bang a hole into the side and just be done with it haha

SUCCESS - after 3 hours we have FINALLY managed to get it all together! I ended up resorting to using a hammer and screw driver and banging the crap out of it to make the screw holes bigger

I can't wait to see Lucas' face light up tomorrow, he will be stoked!
