I know this should probably go in the mums meetup section but if you're like me and pretty slack at checking in there nothing will ever happen

Before Christmas several of us spoke about having a meet up at Churton Park on the weekend of 24th/25th Jan (specific day and time undecided).

So I thought I'd check back in and see who's still keen to meetup and invite anyone who didn't see the previous thread.

Spirals Mums-to-be definitely count.

Kaz Churton Park is a playground located in the suburb Churton Park.  It has the usual playground equipment (swings, teeter totter, slides etc) and a huge grassy area for running around.

Yep, I'd like to come if I can.

It's our anniversary on the 31st though, and DH has to be away for the weekend working, so we might do something that weekend, which would possibly count me out.

Will let you know!

chonni, the park is off halswater drive in Churton Park. I'd say it's within 30 mins walking as it's 30 min walk from my house (top of Churton Park) to Johnville

Jo, can you give me some directions? I do know Churton Park from when I was younger but I am not 100% exactly where the park is. Is it near the newer developments by the hill (I think there is a long straightish road and there used to be a real estate house on it?) Am I close?

I'm planning to be in Wellington for a few days from the 31st.
I'll be staying in Tawa (if my Grandfather will have us).
I'm busy on the 31st in the afternoon evening and the 1st, but I'd say we'll be there in the 2nd and 3rd - going home on the 4th?

I'll know in a few days, so I'll update.

Bumping to check that we're still on for this Sunday at 2pm at Churton Park.

For those that don't know the area here's a map.  The easiest way to get there is to go along Middleton Road (either from J.vil if you're driving North or from Glenside if you're coming south along the porirua motorway) and the turn off into Halswater Drive and follow the road until you see the carpark.

Are you coming over the Haywards (so South from Porirua) or coming via Petone (so North along the motorway)?

Coming from petone

Ok, take the Johnsonville turnoff and drivealong the main road.  Past the shops there are 2 roundabouts, go straight through both roundabouts and you'll be on Middleton Road.  Follow this road until you get to Halswater Dr and turn left then follow the road up until you get to the park.
