i like the name Bryn but i'll use it one day (i hope) for my son, my grandad was Brian but it was shortened to Bryn.
Um do u want an unusual name or a classic name? what kind of sound do u like? soft like Melissa or edgier like Brooke?

ooh I like Elliot for a girl, will have to run that past hubby. We like all sorts, our short list at this stage is Chloe, Jemma and Willow but Im not sure any of them is the perfect name yet so its great to get ideas from you all thanks.
Deharn I Kobe is an american basketball player and also a town in Japan I think but pronounced differently. Then I heard that Kobe Bryant was being done for rape and I thought hmm maybe not but we went to Aussie and a girl in McDonalds was called Kobe but spelt Khobi, we both saw it, looked at each other and said oh do you see her name!(one of those had to be there moments) but we thought yep thats the one whether he was a boy or girl, just would have spelt it differently.

My new favourite girls name is Clea. I loooove it (so at some stage I have to have another girl so I can put it to use!)
I also liked Scarlett... but yeah, couldn't use it on a child concieved out of wedlock as it rhymed with harlot.
I do like Willa. My fav boys name is Wilheim, which is similar.

I liked Reese or Jaimee for a girl, also like Greer and Blair, but we couldn't agree on any. Hubby liked Caitlin and Nicole, but (no offence, Kelly)I knew 2 snottly nosed dirty little girls with those names, and UGH. In the end, JJ would have been Jaimee Lindley or Reese Kindley (his mums name) For a boy our other name was Nicholas and our original name was Jed, but we made the mistake of telling people and got some horrid reactions.. (still love it, though)

Yeah, I'm hearing you about the reactions - I'm thinking of keeping our chosen names to ourselves until after baby is born and named, so people who don't like it will be less likely to try 'putting us off' it! Had a stink reaction to boys names I love from the first person we talked names with... hmmmm.
Girl's names are so fun!!! There's heaps of gorgeous ones out there! I'm loving Scarlett, Hannah, Layla, Emma, Georgia, Alexa, Kristie, Aroha, Kaitlyn, Naomi (sounds nice in Japanese too if you like Japanese names), Eva, and another name that's pretty popular round these parts but if we have a girl we're using it for her with her Grandmother Grace's name as a middle one, so I won't say what!

LOl no offence taken mate....there are plenty of names i wont use because of people i know with those names, and its not like caitlyns name had any special meaning to me...i shut my eyes and opened the name book....pretty risky way of doing it!
Anyway, Kyla, Kyra, Addison, Sharnia,Akeisha,Kadisyn,Shyla.
i like Emily but i also really like Paige.

I loved the name Tyla for a girl and then my best friend said it reminded her of a stripper.

Addison is nice - I'm stuck on Caitlin Grace if it's a girl and Samuel Logan Nicholas if it's a boy....the last two have been Andrew William and Sean Krisian...it would be nice to have a girl in the family to balance out some of the testosterone...

what sort of names to do you like?

Hubby and me are locked in a battle about names now - neither of us really loves the others favourite names. Hubby wants Kiya and I dont. we cant seem to find one name we both love.
I love Ashlee and Jaimee but our surname ends in a "lee" sound and it inst ideal, but i think i could get over that.
I also love Mika (Meeka) but everyone in our family threw their hands up in horror - but i still like it.
i thought once we knew teh sex it would be easier to find a name but looks like it is gettign harder - i really want something a little different adn unusual but not so different and unusual that people say "huh?" when we say the name you know?

I had never heard the name addison until Kelly came up with it but have since heard it 4 different times but still love it. I love Mika thats nice. My friend is going to call her baby Kiya if they have a girl. My other girls names were Chloe, Molly, Bella, Breanna (Bre) and hubby wanted Trinity but the minute we heard Addison we knew that was the one, just like we did with Kobe. He would have been that boy or girl but spelt Khobi if he was a girl. I hope a name jumps out at you soon.

Yeah I heard that too as my parents told me its one of the most popular names in america.
The only boys name we like is Riley. Girls names Cady, Ruby, Keira to name a few. Like addison as well but really need other boys names.
Its funny its such a big delmore I guess I think this kid is gonna be stuck with this name the rest of 'its' life so better make it a good one. I knew someone at school who was called Wayne Kerr and I thought what was that kids parents thinking?????
