I rented a doppler so I can listen to the gremlins heartbeats. Willie thought I had lost the plot completely - until he heard them and turned into a big marshmallow. The only problem is trying to sort out which heartbeat is which, coz they seemed to be leaping around a lot last night. -------------  Maya Grace (28/02/03)

How much is the rental? We tried to listen using my mates vet nurse stephoscope (sp?) but couldn't hear anything other than "whooshing" (not even a meow or a woof  sorry couldn't resist that LOL)

WOW SOUNDS GREAT!!! I guess the only thing that I would worry about is not using it properly and not finding the heartbeat (not cos ther was a problem but cos i wasnt using it right) and then I would fly into a panic AAAARRGHHHH!

That is so kewl. I used to love going up to the nursing labs when we had health assessment - and a few times i got the doppler out they had there and my classmates had a listen to my bubbas - it was neat cos when we had the classes on pregnancy - they had a real lady to practice on!
now, i may have missed them so don't shoot me - i've not been on here for a few days.. but when.. lasies, are Becca and Emma gonna start posting some pics of their beautiful bubba bellies? I have to admit I have a doppler too, me and my friend who is only about 6 weeks preggie went halves in one off trade me. someone sells them for $80 brand new and we figure by the time ive finished with it she will be able to use it. I'm wondering whether or not it would be worth getting one at this point even just as a rental, mostly due to the fact that the other 'listener' that we bought hasn't worked for us so far... we've caught lots of kicks and hiccups but it doesn't seem to pick up the heart beat, which is frustrating - i LOVE hearing that sound, always puts *the* biggest grin on my face, and DH's too ! ------------- Jacquie - Mama to Erin, 13.07.06 - Chief Cat Chaser & Marmite Sammie Eater
