To those of you who have been there done that...

Bethany has been a great feeder since almost day dot. Just before Christmas she started getting fussy on my right side. I've realised that I take a whole lot longer to let down on that side and she's started crying in frustration because of it.

I spent a few days starting her on my right side for every feed. It ended up with me being quite engorged on my left side for about 48hrs cuz she didn't empty it as much (ouch!!) and the let down improved for about 48hrs. But now it's back to where I was before Very frustrating - for her and for me!!! Even when I try to just relax and not worry about it - she gets REALLY worked up.

Any tips???

You're right, most of us have been in the same boat! There's a page about it at good old kellymom, http://www.kellymom.com/bf/concerns/mom/lopsided.html - here - hope that helps!

I haven't read that linky so hopefully I'm adding not just copying...
Have you tried manually expressing the right side every now and then (do it in the shower) to increase the flow speed? Otherwise you could give her a quick feed on the left - just enough to take the hunger frustration off - and then switch her to the right. She may be more patient that way. One other reason that one side can be preferred over another is the presence of an ear infection. If she has had a snotty nose or been grizzly lately, it wouldn't hurt to rule that one out.
