I use these all the time in smoothies but am now thinking I think they'd make a really yummy crumble with peaches or something as well. Anyone know whether I need to thaw first or would they be ok if I just chuck them in??

for crumble just chuck em in, they'll cook when you stick it in the oven.

Yea you can do them either way - same with cooking them in muffins etc.
