Hi,
Can anyone recommend a good baby friendly 'spray n wipe' product or range of products for general cleaning, don't want to use harsh chemicals on the bath/ wooden floor etc? Thanks ------------- 3yr old gorgeous ID twin boys. |

| I've just started using "Green Works" cleaning spray, they also have other cleaning products in their range. Not sure if they are strictly 'baby friendly', but they certainly don't have harsh chemicals, and say they are "made from 99% natural plant based ingredients". Certainly better than your average "Spray n Wipe" anyway. You can definitely get them at New World, not sure what other supermarkets sell the range. |

I've been using the Green Works spray on the highchair & I really like it. It smells far more "natural" than Spray n Wipe etc.
I think I've seen the ad on TV which says that Greenworks is endorsed by the Asthma & Respiratory Foundation if that means anything... -------------

Yup i use the greenworks range too and find it great in my bathroom speaking of which i need to clean again why do men get it soo messy. Also there is ecostore products which you can get at supermarkets too that you caould try.
if i have to use a normal brand then i always make sure i don't get any antibacteira ones a little bit of dirt is good for everyone if anything we are far too clean these days there are schools of thought that think this has got something to do with the increase in allergies etc. Just think what we did as kids and what our parents done when we were little. |

| Yep, I agree Sweetpea, a little bit of dirt is good for a kid! I'm sure ingesting a little bit of fairly harmless germs helps to build your immune system in much the same way as immunisations do. |

Am SO with you on that one Sweetpea - people are going antibacterial crazy. So important for bubs to play in the dirt & get messy otherwise they'll have crap immune systems and get sick all the time! Don't understand the craze!
Will go & try the Green Works then - have seen it advertised on T.V - I just have this misconception that eco cleaning might not be as effective on dirt s general cleaner. ------------- 3yr old gorgeous ID twin boys. |

We use the Cinderella range. It say's its 100% people safe and biodegradable. Can get it from foodtown & NW. They do a range of cleaning sprays. We've found them to be really good and they smell nice - think mint and coconut  ------------- http://alterna-tickers.com">

| you can also make your own cleaning products using vinegar and baking soda. i found them to be quite good. if you google "cleaning products natural" you should be able to find the recipes. |

Just butting in but i have a problem using these products as DH loves that "chemical" smell and thinks that if it isnot present then it is not clean eg we use BEE washing powder (mainly for the naps)and he wants me to buy Persil just for his clothes and wash them separately to the rest of the stuff. I just make up a water and white vinegar solution and use that in a spray bottle. You can also add a drop or two of tea tree oil to make it smell a bit nicer. It's cheap, it's naturally antibacterial and it really does work. For mopping the floors or heavy duty cleaning I use a bit of simple green. And a bit of baking soda used as a scourer in the bath and sinks works a treat too. -------------

The Eco Store spray is great. Due to the essential oils in it, it has a nice, light citrus smell to it. Plus it it is really good on grease. ------------- http://lilypie.com">

| The greenworks ones have a light citrus smell too. I also like to use baking soda its good to bring the kitchen sink back to shiny and vinegar too i use it diluted to clean down the walls in the bathroom or anywhere that there is a little bit of mold growing not that we have much of that its good on the windows too. |

Oh I LOVE the Cinderella cleaning products - they smell divine!! My fave is the mint spray & wipe, it really does smell minty which is so refreshing and such a nice change to citrus or pine  -------------

You can also use a few drops of Lavender Oil, instead of Tea tree if you prefer the smell... its a natural antiseptic. (If you are making your own that is) -------------
