I'm all for spreading the message of baby-led weaning. It's not the norm (no purees!), but is a wonderful way to get into the world of solids.

Have a look http://babyledweaning.blogware.com/ - here for more info.

baby led weaning makes me nervous. I thought about trying it but Im so worried he will choke.

We started Caden on a tiny bit apples, and pears things like that, then when he was nearly 6 months we tried pumpkin and he loved that, then he would have baby rice with fruit in it. Now at 7 months he is still only having 2 sometimes 2 solids a day, but he really isnt too fussed still.
