Apologies for long post in advance and possible TMI! I know this has been covered before in other threads however since we have a few new ladies, me included it might be time to bring this up. I'm taking elevit since I came off the pill end of October. However it's only since I have been on this website that I have heard about Vitex, which a lot of woman have had success with.
My question is, is there any point me taking it. I've had one cycle at 30 days and one at 31, according to FF my leuteal phase is differing abit. Unsure about OV symptoms apart from Temp rises (Will use OV strips this month), don't really bother too much with CM signs too hard to tell. Is it worth it to try and increase chances to get pregnant?? All opinions gladly welcomed

I spoke to a lady at Hardy's health shop about it and she told me that they didn't recommend TTC while taking it, and they recommended a 3 month cycle. That put me off.
I can't remember why she said you shouldn't, but I am sure there are ladies on OB who haven't stopped.

I'm all for alternative treatments and that's exactly what I was told too so I won't be taking Vitex

Yeah they say Vitex takes 3 months to work, although some ladies have gotten their BFP on their first cycle - but that could just be coincidence.
Also you are not supposed to take it while pregnant - it can cause miscarriages so I don't use it. I remember a post about it awhile ago where someone was taking it and had a mc and then when they got pg again their midwife told them to keep taking until 14 weeks because coming off it suddenly can screw up your hormones and cause mc. Either way I'd stay away from it unless you have really wacky cycles and as yours don't vary too much you probably don't need to.
As for you LP varying - if its only by a day or 2 I wouldn't worry as there are things that can affect your temps and I find sometimes FF gets my O date wrong.

Sounds like good advice Emily. Like every thing in life we want things instantly, and if we can't have it straight away we start to think something is wrong or we need this or that.
I'm going to do a detox tomorrow, it's called the ultimate cleanse about 10 days long and you eat fruit and veges, thought might be good to clear some toxins out. I'm on day 8 with ov due around day 15-20 so should be ok, I hope! It's all herbs so should be all good.
