I've heard good things about this wrap, but has anyone else tried one?

My little girl is quite a fussy sleeper, and always seems to get out of her wrap...plus I'm still no expert at it anyway...

Is it easy to use? Effective?

Any other swaddle wraps that you can recommend? I'm really looking for an easy fitted one, so that I can do it quickly and easily and also so that my husband can do it too.

Thanks.

Issy got out of hers in about two seconds flat.

The only thing that ever kept her swaddled was a big merino wrap! And because it was big even DH could wrap her (albiet not quite properly) but she couldnt unwrap herself.

Yes I also used a merino wrap. It was just a large square of material but I got good at using it to wrap him. I used this way of wrapping :

I didn't bother with the second blanket part unless it was really cold. He hardly ever got out of it.

Could it be that bub just doesn't like being wrapped. I know i didn't yet my brother loved it. In fact even when he ws in a big bed he still liked being tucked in tight and only mum could do it.

I love the miracle wraps! I think it is all in the technique, I used to be a plunket nurse an its amazing how many people say there baby doesnt llike being wrapped but if you do it well then it should be pretty secure and babies usually do get used to it. There is a really good technique that you can use called the 'dudu' wrap, if you google dr harvey karp or is it carp? then there should be a video that shows you how to swaddle, you can use anything I used the miracle wraps whilst my baby was small but am now tending to just use a large muslin square and it works well as long as you do it tight. My baby does cry when he gets swaddled now but its because he knows that it means bedtime as it is part of his sleep routine,we tried to stop swaddling him and he stopped sleeping so back to the swaddle!
I have a couple of the miracle swaddles if anyone wants to purchase them off me, they have been well used but are still in good condition, one is white and the other is yellow.
send me a pm if you are interested :)

We had the miricle wrap as well, was great, Joel could only get his arms out after he was 4 months and he was too long so had too keep his legs out. (meant I couldnt wrap him as tight)

Love Love Love the miracle wrap!!!!!

Hayden is 6mths and still loves it, he has one arm out and legs havent fitted in the pouch for months and months but never to mind it still works a treat.

Highly reccomend.

When Hayden was very little we used a large muslin square and that worked really well until he got too long for it.

we used a miracle wrap till approx 5 1/2/6months and it was awesome, then my little man started waking at night and getting out... we would have to go and re-wrap heaps of times. Thats when we developed the Peke Moe and put him into that.
but I really liked the miracle wrap, my mum made one out of an old thin cotton sheet so it was not too hot.

I'm not having much joy with ours.  Tom LOVED being swaddles but James doesnt seem into it...and sleeps ok unswaddled so far.  I am not pushing the issue as it is still quite hot.  But once it cools a little I will try it again.  Tempted to try tonight.  James just seems to like having his hands near his face.
