Yet again I am facing the dilemma of trying to find something funky to wear to a party on Friday night. My challenge is that I dont want to wear something from the Warehouse / Farmers / Kmart etc (not that there is anything wrong with these places - its where most of my wardrobe is from), I want to feel young and funky, not old and frumpy! Being a plus size is the main challenge, as the shops that specialise in plus sizes expect you to sell a kidney for a frock...its insane...we went into one on the weekend that wanted $165 for a skirt. I just cant justify that at the moment!

Does anyone know of ANYWHERE in auckland where I might find something?

Bad Q I know But how plus sized are you? I've recently come down to an 18 from a 22 and I find that the more youthful looking clothes in farmers fit well (they go up to 18), and some have room to spare. I never would have tried before out of sheer embarrassment but some of the half cardys are just too cute! Otherwise, Postie Plus and look around in some of the smaller shops like Glassons, they can carry roomy 18's in the funkier clothes as well.

you could try Judith Ann Ford clothing in Glenfield - they are the manufacturers of the Cashews label which costs alot in shops however it's much cheaper at the factory which is in Diana Drive in Glenfield - they go from about a 16 to a 30 - normally items are about $50 at the factory shop and $150/200 in stores.
