Yup. It's north of Auckland but the exact location is only given after you book. I haven't been there but it looks pretty funky! ------------- Mum to two wee boys |

It's in Woodhill forest - you can see it from the road as you drive north.
The website is www.yellowtreehouse.co.nz I think They were doing dinners and lunches but they're fully booked now until they close in mid Feb. -------------

They're closing cos it doesn't have a roof! It's open to the elements, so it was only ever intended to be open for a short period over the summer months. It is pretty expensive I think. They do a set menu for something like $100 per head... ------------- http://alterna-tickers.com">

Yep, afternoon tea is $25 I think, and didn't look brilliant. Still, I guess you go for the novelty rather than the food. ------------- Mum to two wee boys |

So they have to pull it down, or what? They could clear the area and make it a campsite with a walk up to the "restaurant" for a small fee or something?! -------------  |

I really wanted to go to this restaurant for our first anniversary dinner but they are fully booked  It was about $125 per head for a set menu for dinner, would have been something different that's for sure!
Would be great if they could do something permanent during the summer months. |
