Is there anyone out there who's DH is self employed & have 2 kids?
I'm on full PPL for now & once that runs out I have no income for the rest of the time i'm off.
Obviously I'd like to get something for the taxes I've paid over the years
I don't want to claim anything & then have to repay it. We have out FA being paid out yearly so that we avoid that scenario.
I guess the best idea is to have a meeting at WINZ?

My DH isn't self employed but I think you may be eligable for some help. Have a look at the working for families website, it has some questions and calculators that will help you work out if you are entitled to a tax credit. Failing that do ask WINZ, you just never know...

The problem is to work out his income...is it his drawings or is it his profit? Plus he's only been self employed for just a year now & to top it off he's been working in Oz so I have recieved "child support" for his income that he sent back.....
Just a tad complicated...might phone WINZ tomorrow if I remember!

Hey Kel, my DH is self employed and in a few months I will have 2 kids. I have not been back to work between, so won't be getting any maternity leave or PPL (think I still get tax credit).
WE worked out DHs earnings on what he paid income tax on - not sure if that could be a way of working out your DHs?? I think WINZ might be the place to go - I was thinking I might do the same thing soon.
